The Chair of Institutional Economics and Economic Policy at the Department of Economics, University of Paderborn, is seeking to fill a

A) Post-Doctoral Position in Experimental Economics (100%) and a
B) Ph.D. Position in Applied Microeconomic Theory (75%)

both starting July 1, 2012, or later.

Initially, each contract runs for three years, but it may be extended upon successful evaluation. Salary is according to German state regulations (13 TV-L) and is competitive by international standards.

Ad A) Applicants for the Post-Doctoral Position should hold a relevant Ph.D. or be close to finishing their Ph.D.. We expect a solid background in experimental economics. The selected candidate is expected to conduct experimental research and to contribute to the research areas of the chair. These can be broadly described as Applied Microeconomic Theory, including but not limited to Industrial Organization, Competition Policy, Health Economics, and Personnel Economics.

Ad B) Applicants should hold a relevant degree in (micro)economics or related areas such as statistics, mathematical economics, or psychology. We expect a solid background in experimental economics or microeconomic theory. The selected candidate is expected to conduct research in the research areas of the chair (see above).
