September 8-9, 2026, in Dresden, Germany

The workshop aims at facilitating the networking of young scientists and at promoting the exchange of their latest research. Relevant topics might include Regional Disparities, Mobility, Development Economics, and Public Economics. Preference is given to empirical papers estimating causal inferences in a spatial context, natural experiments, or recent geo-data and respective methods.

We encourage PhD students and early-stage post-doctoral researchers to submit their research. Each paper will be allocated 45 minutes, to be divided between the presentation, a short discussion by an assigned workshop participant, and a general discussion.

We are pleased to announce that Andreas Stegmann, professor at the University of Münster with a research focus on applied microeconomics, political economy, and development economics, will attend the workshop as keynote speaker.

Please submit your (preliminary) paper by June 5, 2026. Acceptance decisions will be announced by June 19, 2026. We are looking forward to seeing you in Dresden.
