Job description: The position’s objective is to write research papers and develop a portfolio of activities to apply for an entry-level professor position. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Mehdi Farsi (www.unine.ch/biographie/mehdi-farsi)and benefit from a dynamic research environment, with ample opportunities for individual and collaborative research, acquisition of external research funds, and supervising MSc and PhD students. She or he will take an active role in the activities organized by the Institute (e.g., research seminars), participate in ongoing projects in relation with the SWEET consortium on Swiss energy research and its household survey (sweet-cross.ch/sheds).
Teaching responsibilities are concentrated in the fall semester and include an intensive Math-refresher class for 1st-year MSc students in Economics and Finance, organized in the 2nd week of September, a principles course in Economics (2 hrs. per week), and a master-level course in Behavioral Economics (1 hr. per week).

Salary is set in accordance with the regulation of the University of Neuchâtel.
Applicant profile: A doctoral degree (PhD) in Economics obtained after September 2023, or in the process of completion; advanced skills in applied econometrics and/or experiment design; excellent potential for peer-reviewed publications; and interest in applied research in at least one of the fields listed above.
