In accordance with § 94 Sec. 2 subpara. 1 of the 2002 Austrian Universities Act, the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics, and Business at the Johannes Kepler University Linz announces a faculty opening for a University Professor for Labor Economics.
The Department of Economics at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics, and Business at Johannes Kepler University Linz invites applications for a permanent professorship position under private law for a
Professor for Labor Economics to begin as soon as possible. The appointment is in accordance with § 98 of the Austrian Universities Act. An evaluation will be conducted after a five-year period.
The ideal candidate should have excellent credentials in the field of Labor Economics and conduct research on topics relevant to economic or social policy.
Links to the main research areas of the Department of Economics are desired. The Department is organized along the lines of an American department system. The professorship will be integrated into the department structure.
The successful candidate is expected to represent and further develop the field in research and teaching. They should contribute to the Department’s undergraduate, graduate, and PhD level programs. Applicants for the position must have a venia docendi (habilitation degree) in economics or a comparable post-doctorate qualification.
