Faculty VII – Institute of Economics and Law / Public Sector and Health Economics
Reference number: VII-231/25 (starting at the earliest possible / for 5 years / closing date for applications 15/07/25)

Working field:

  • research in the field of public economics, in particular on regulation and taxation of artificial intelligence or environmental economics, with methods from microeconomics and/or behavioral/​experimental economics
  • organization and implementation of teaching courses as well as supervision of bachelor's and master's theses
  • supporting the chair in research, teaching and administration as well as the acquisition of third-party funding projects
  • application for and engagement in the PhD program of the "Berlin School of Economics" is welcome and supported (https://berlinschoolofeconomics.de/)

Requirements:

  • successfully completed university degree (master's, diploma or equivalent) in economics or equivalent courses of study
  • very good knowledge of the methods used in microeconomics and/or behavioral/​experimental economics
  • ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills.

Desirable:

  • experience or interest in issues of regulation and taxation of artificial intelligence or environmental economics
  • high level of independence and commitment
