At the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Chair of Economics, esp Public Economics offers a position as

Research Associate / PhD Student (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting at the earliest possible date (not later than March 1, 2025). The position is limited to 3 years with 75% of the full-time weekly hours. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position aims at obtaining further academic qualification (usually PhD).

Tasks: You participate in the scientific research of the Chair. Current research projects deal with allocative problems of public economics and with political economy, especially in an international context. We offer you the opportunity to present your research at international conferences. The writing of a cumulative dissertation is a central part of your tasks. In addition, you will teach courses, supervise theses, and participate in academic self-governance.

Requirements: You have a university degree in economics or business administration (master's or diploma) with above-average grades and have sound theoretical knowledge, especially in the field of microeconomics. Knowledge in public economics as well as in econometric methods would be an advantage. You have a high degree of initiative, a very good command of English as well as good analytical skills.
