The Economics Department at Whitman College is seeking candidates for a one-semester position with expertise in microeconomics, at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning January 2027. A Ph.D. is preferred upon starting the position. ABD candidates will be considered. The teaching load will be 3 courses in the Spring semester, including Principles of Microeconomics, and Applied Microeconomics in areas of the candidate’s specialty. Renewal of the position for a subsequent year is possible, pending funding and positive evaluation of teaching.

Salary Range: $35,000 - $37,000
