MASTER’S DEGREE IN ENVIRONMENTAL ECONOMICS, LABOUR AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Our Master's Degree in Environmental Economics, Labor, and Sustainable Development is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the economic, social, and environmental sustainability issues through both theoretical knowledge and empirical analysis tools. Aligned with the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, this program emphasizes the possible coexistence of economic growth and environmental protection, inclusive development, and decent work, as well as the relationship between profits and social welfare at both global and local levels.
By enrolling in this Master’s program, specifically in the Global Development curriculum, you have the unique opportunity to apply for a DOUBLE DEGREE Program with Gustave Eiffel University in Paris, which offers a master's degree on the same topic. This collaboration expands your educational horizons and enriches your academic experience.
The program offers three distinct curricula to cater to diverse interests and goals:
Global Development (English) – Examines the broader aspects of global development. This Master’s program is ideal for those who are interested in studying the causes and effects of disparities in development processes and learning how to influence their trajectories. You will delve into questions such as why hunger persists in many parts of the world, why some development strategies succeed while others fail, and what factors contribute to the prosperity of certain regions. Moreover, you will explore the roles of governance, public policies, economic agents, businesses, and various national and international governmental and non-governmental organizations and institutions in the global development process. Upon completion of this program, our graduates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue diverse career paths. You can apply for highly qualified positions in private and public enterprises and agencies, national and international research centres, international organizations, and NGOs.
