Decision Economics Inc, a company providing macroeconomic analysis for investment professionals with offices in Boston and New York City, has an opening for an economist to start immediately. The position is remote, with part-time or flexible hours possible.
Two sets of qualifications are must-haves:
1. Top-notch communication skills and professional writing (look through economic reports on the company's website as examples of content that you will be expected to produce)
2. Technical skills and experience with analysis of macroeconomic and financial time series, forecasting etc.
In addition, you must be authorized to work in the US, and recent college graduates (Bachelor鈥檚 degree or higher) are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities, in support of DE鈥檚 President/CEO and its Clients, include consolidating and analyzing detailed global economic and financial markets data; maintaining and operating high-frequency econometric and time-series models and systems for economic indicators, analyses, and forecasting; updating and helping estimate the Sinai-Boston (SB) Model of the U.S. economy and financial markets and helping to maintain the software environment that houses the model; contributing to, and writing for, DE publications and other Client-oriented analytical reports. This position provides great preparation for a PhD program in Economics or related fields as well as an overall career in Economics.
