The FIIZU research project (Taxation, Innovation, and Inequalities in Urban Areas) aims to assess the economic resilience of regions in the face of tax reforms (changes to corporate tax, removal of the CVAE, etc.). The project seeks to closely analyze how tax increases and decreases impact company balances depending on their size, sector, and location. In particular, it looks to determine how these transfers are used within companies: do they stimulate local innovation and employment, or do they feed a rent-seeking economy? To do this, the project relies on the use of massive and comprehensive matched microdata (DGFiP, FARE, LIFI, SIRENE) over a long period (2010–2023) housed on the CASD's secure server, and uses causal inference and advanced classification methods to identify behavioral signatures of entrepreneurs.

Skills/Qualifications
- PhD in Economics or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong empirical skills in micro-econometrics, structural econometrics, and/or causal machine learning methods.
- Demonstrated experience in handling large individual and administrative databases, preferably with French data.
- Strong interest in corporate taxation, territorial economics, innovation economics, or corporate finance.
- Advanced programming skills in R and/or Python.
- Fluent in French (professional level) and very good level of academic English.

Additional Information
Benefits: According to the contractual researchers' scale of the University Gustave Eiffel and the candidate's experience (net salary between 2300 and 2700 euros per month).
Selection process: Interviews (in-person or via videoconference) will take place at the end of November/beginning of December 2026 with a view to starting the position on January 1, 2027.
