2025-01 Postdoctoral Researcher in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (f/m/x 100%)

Successful candidates will be assigned to the research group led by Professor Javier Miranda, and Professor Ufuk Akcigit that is part of the IWH Department of Structural Change and Productivity, and Professor Merih Sevilir that is part of the IWH Department of Laws, Regulations and Factor Markets, that started in June 2024.
We expect the candidate to possess an excellent research profile in entrepreneurship, and innovation research using the latest theoretical and/or quantitative methods. The successful candidate will work as part of the Leibniz Cooperative Excellence Programme in a joint collaboration of IWH and ZEW. This collaboration will bring together detailed information from firms, establishments, workers, inventors, and entrepreneurs. The contract is limited to two years. Extensions are possible. The main office will be in Halle (Saale).
The successful candidate has a willingness to work in a highly dynamic environment. Leadership skills, and experience in (co-)supervision of PhD students and are advantages.

Your profile/Your motivation
You hold a high-quality doctoral degree in economics or are close to completing it. You have a sound background in applied econometrics. We value good knowledge of relevant firm micro data. You have a strong interest in applying empirical economics to policy-relevant research questions.
