Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the University is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University seeks to hire employees with experience working with diverse populations.

The AACSB-accredited Department of Business Administration at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure-track position in Economics beginning in Fall 2026. 

 

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, with emphasis on Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Statistics, and other quantitative/analytics-focused courses as needed. Flexibility to teach during both daytime and evening hours is required. Candidates must also show strong potential for publishing in peer-reviewed economics-related journals. A successful interview and a demonstration of teaching effectiveness are required. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth and professional development; and service.

Minimum Qualifications

An earned doctorate in Economics or a closely related field from a nationally accredited institution. ABD candidates will be considered but must complete the terminal degree by December 31, 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) tools or methods into teaching and curriculum development in economics or related areas.
