Applicants must have completed studies in: Economics; Banking; Finance; or other closely related fields.

Possibly. Candidates with degrees in closely related fields may be considered eligible, especially if their academic background and intended PhD studies are clearly aligned with Economics. For example, applicants holding degrees in quantitative disciplines such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Computational Sciences may be considered eligible if they intend to pursue a PhD in Economics. Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Yes. Applicants must demonstrate adequate proficiency in the language required by their chosen PhD program.

Yes, applicants already enrolled in a PhD program are eligible. However, the Scientific Committee will give priority to suitable candidates planning to enroll in the first year of a PhD program in Fall 2027.

No. The scholarship is incompatible with any other scholarship that covers both tuition fees and living expenses.

You must immediately inform UniCredit Foundation if you receive any additional scholarship, financial support, or tuition-fee remission. If the additional support is incompatible with this scholarship, you will not be able to retain both awards.
