It has around 1500 members from all regions of Canada and abroad. The
association is focused in advancement of econonomic knowledge through
research, publications, and discussions of economic questions. It publishes
the principal economic journal in Canada, the "Canadian Journal of Economics"
and it also organizes the annual meeting of the association.聽
