Research Centre on Industrial and Public Economics (CREIP) – Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV)

The CREIP (Research Centre on Industrial and Public Economics), created in 2010, is a research centre based at the Department of Economics of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.

The CREIP provides a focus for the research activities of all of the members, including a forum for the dissemination of scientific knowledge, through seminars and working papers. The Centre has a network of expertise on several areas (namely on Public Economics and on Industrial Economics) on which to draw for academic research and consultancy.

The CREIP consists of researchers from different areas of Economics, mainly Regional Economics, Environmental Economics and Markets and Institutions. The goal of the CREIP is to carry out core analytical research in the fields of Public Economics and Industrial Economics.

The activities of the CREIP include the organisation of seminars, workshops, international conferences and the provision of organisational assistance to the research activities of the members.

Until November 2013 the CREIP has been directed by Maria Llop, associate professor in the Department of Economics of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, and the academic secretary has been Josep Maria Arauzo, associate professor in the Department of Economics of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.

Currently, the Director of the CREIP is Bernd Theilen, associate professor of the Department of Economics, and the academic secretary is Ricardo Flores, associate professor of the Departament of Economics.
