The German Council of Economic Experts (GCEE) was established in 1963 as an
academic body that would advise German policymakers regarding their questions
concerning economic policy and legislature. The macroeconomic development of
the country is the main focus of GCEE . Furthermore, the situational
assessments and detailed Annual Economic Reports reports of the Council have
influenced German policymakers throughout the decades.Â
