LISER is an independent institute for social and economic research addressing policy relevant issues based on state-of-the-art scientific methodology.
The institute is committed to become a key player for evidence based policy advice both on the national and the European level. Therefore, the institute is engaged in developing tools for quantitative and qualitative policy analysis serving for causal ex-post evaluation as well as for model based ex-ante impact assessment of policy interventions.
One of the strong assets of the institute consists of its interdisciplinarity. This provides a unique potential for stimulating and innovative research by systematically encouraging a constructive dialogue across different paradigms.
