Join us for the 7th WIMFE Workshop, April 22–23, 2027 at DIW Berlin, co-organised with the University of Bonn, in partnership with the Bank of England. Two days of research, ideas, and networking. Keynotes from Diana Bonfim (ECB), Axelle Ferriere (Sciences Po), and Rachel Ngai (LSE).
DIW Berlin and the University of Bonn are pleased to host the 7th Workshop for Women in Macroeconomics and Finance in Europe (WIMFE) at DIW Berlin on April 22-23, 2027, in cooperation with the Bank of England.
The conference brings together female researchers and practitioners in Macroeconomics and Finance to exchange ideas and build professional networks across academia and policy institutions. We invite contributions, including, but not limited to:
- Labor markets, fiscal policy and business cycles
- Structural transformation and directed technical change
- Financial intermediation and institutions
- The role of micro heterogeneity for the domestic and international transmission of shocks
- Global policy uncertainty and macroeconomic volatility
- Quantitative macroeconomics, microdata and computational methods
Each conference day will feature a keynote lecture by an invited speaker, contributed papers and discussions.
Invited keynote lectures will be given by:
- Diana Bonfim (European Central Bank, Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, CEPR)
- Axelle Ferriere (Sciences Po, CNRS, CEPR)
- Rachel Ngai (London School of Economics, CEPR, STEG)
Registration fees:
There are no registration or participation fees. We will provide accommodation (a maximum of two nights), lunches, a workshop dinner and networking events. Partial support for discussants’ travel expenses is also available.
How to submit a paper:
Please submit your paper in PDF format along with information on the paper’s title, name(s) of author(s), and contact details via this submission form before October 31, 2026. Authors will be notified about the status of their application by mid-November 2026.
