ifo Dresden Workshop on Macroeconomics and International Finance 2026

Dresden, 23rd – 24th April 2026 

The ifo Institute, Dresden Branch warmly invites submissions to the ifo Dresden Workshop on Macroeconomics and International Finance. 

Particularly welcome are contributions on the following topics:

• Drivers and consequences of inflation
• Geoeconomic risk
• Financial stability (of emerging markets)
• Exchange rates and capital flows
• Fiscal policy and the macroeconomy
• Has the Phillips curve changed?
• Monetary policy (in a high inflation environment)
• Inflation expectation and forecasting

Each paper will be allocated 45 minutes, to be divided between the presentation, a discussion by an assigned workshop participant and a general discussion.
There is no workshop fee. However, participants are expected to pay their own expenses for travelling, accommodation and the joint infor-mal dinner on April 23rd.
