Orsi Academy

The current Orsi Academy has five fully equipped, hybrid OR’s which provide the latest technology and equipment necessary for multidisciplinary simulator training & dry-lab training. Additionally, all our operation rooms are fully equipped with gas-anesthesia to provide care during training programs on live porcine models. In order to reduce our animal lab use, all participants start their beginner training on simulators.

At the institute we have one stand-alone Mimic Dv-simulator and three backpack simulators, giving the surgeons the chance to train and familiarize themselves with the ‘buttonology’ of robotic surgery, in a controlled environment. Our training robot systems comprise five Intuitive da Vinci robots including two Xi systems, two X systems and one Si system. Three of these systems have dual console set-up.

Fire-fly technology & single-site technologies are available on all systems.

Next to our robots, we have three laparoscopic towers, two of which have high definition view.

On the upper floor, we have seating for 50-people in our auditorium and two additional fully equipped meeting rooms. AV installations are available, as well as free internet and Wi-Fi accessibility making live broadcasting possible from all Orsi OR’s.

All these facilities can be rented for workshops, webinars or meetings.
