The University of Angers conjointly with the University of Leipzig offer a Double Master in European Financial Markets and Institutions. The programme covers the historical development of financial markets and institutions, the working of financial instruments, legal aspects of financial markets, financial market regulation as well as the interaction of financial markets with economic policy, monetary policy, and sustainability. It is interdisciplinary with a focus on economics, business administration, law, and economic history. Classes are taught by renowned academics and professionals from both countries.

The programme is co-funded by the Université franco-allemande / Deutsch-französische Hochschule. Successful candidates will benefit from a monthly UFA/DFH stipend.

EARLY APPLICATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED to benefit from additional Erasmus funding opportunities. These early applications should arrive by 8 March 2024 at latest.

The general deadline for applications is 15 May 2024.

The Double Master in European Financial Markets and Institutions is a two-year programme within the Bologna system (M1 and M2).

On the M1 level, students attend the Master in European Financial Markets and Institutions at the University of Leipzig. All classes are taught in English. Optional fields are offered in German. The common core consists of the following modules: Financial Market Regulation (10 ECTS) and Development of Financial Markets and Institutions (10 ECTS) and International Economic Policy (10 ECTS). Among the optional courses (selection): Sustainable Finance (5 ECTS), Corporate Finance (10 ECTS), Theorien der Finanzintermediation (10 ECTS), Banking and Financial Law (5 ECTS), Time Series Analysis (10 ECTS), Advanced Macroeconomics ( 10 ECTS), Wertpapiermanagement (10 ECTS).

On the M2 level, students follow the Master in Law & Finance at the University of Angers. All classes are taught in English. Optional courses are offered in French. In addition, each student must write a Master’s thesis (14 ECTS). The common core consists of the following modules: Corporate Finance (12 ECTS), Financial Regulation (16 ECTS), Law and Economics (14 ECTS). Optional courses: International Financial Business Game (2 ECTS), Conjoncture et marchés financiers (2 ECTS), Economics of Financial Risks (2 ECTS) and Capital investissement (2 ECTS).
