The IOS is now seeking new Editor-in-Chief for Economic Systems, to begin in January 2026.
The Editor-in-Chief
- strives to enhance journal impact and its reach;
- selects Editorial Board members for appointment, to assist in editorial tasks;
- organizes an effective, timely, and ethical peer review process on submissions, providing feedback to authors and reviewers, to result in decisions safeguarding scientific excellence;
- collaborates with the publisher, to ensure quality and timeliness of publication and to promote the journal’s development and visibility.
Ideal candidates are recognised scholars in Comparative Economics and/or related fields and have a strong record of publication in respected journals. Experience as a reviewer in refereed journals is required. Editorial experience as Associate Editor and/or Special Issue Editor is desirable, as are leadership and management skills, time flexibility, a strong sense of commitment and cooperation, as well as excellent ability of using English.
Expressions of interest should include a cv and a vision statement/concept specifying your ideas for the future development of the journal. You may add suggestions for one or two Co-Editors to work with.
