Valuable work: your role with us
- Your role will be to support the academic work of your colleagues in the Research Centre in the area of empirical microeconomics, particularly through your involvement in the survey projects conducted by the Centre.
- You will be responsible for preparing and analysing microdata on the behaviour and expectations of firms.
- As part of an international team, your work will centre on fundamental issues, with the resulting insights intended to provide a sound academic footing for the Deutsche Bundesbank’s decisions. You will have access to excellent IT facilities and first-class data resources and will have the opportunity to interact with leading international researchers.
Unique assets: your skills and qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a degree programme with a quantitative focus (e.g. economics or statistics); ideally, enrolled in or pursuing a PhD programme in economics, business administration or statistics
- Working towards a specialisation in empirical microeconomics
- Good knowledge of mathematical/statistical applications, especially Stata (or R)
- Experience working with microdata and survey data is preferred
- Familiarity with data visualisation software (e.g. Tableau, R-Shiny) would be an asset
- Strong analytical skills
- Organisational skills as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Very good command of English; a grounding in German
