A groundbreaking study from the University of Erfurt challenges the assumption that people underestimate public support for climate action, showing that individuals often overestimate the level of engagement among others.

Silvana Tenreyro has been named the IMF's Economic Counsellor and Director of the Research Department, succeeding Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas. Tenreyro, a prominent economist, will commence her role on August 10, 2026, bringing her extensive academic and policy-making experience to the Fund. 

Dr. Adriana Kugler, an esteemed professor at Georgetown University, has been awarded the 2025 ASHE Academic Achievement Award.
