Michael McCann is a Senior Lecturer in economics at Nottingham Trent University. He specialises in the economics of banking and financial markets. He has extensive experience in the design and development of relevant curriculum for many courses and programmes in economics, finance, and business. He has also contributed greatly to the development of traditional and electronic distributive and open learning materials. Michael has a keen interest in active learning and assessment, with particular emphasis on the use of real-time and near-time financial data to engage students more effectively. He is an Associate Fellow of the Economics Network and has shared practice through peer reviewed journal articles, conference presentations and workshops.
