Business and Entrepreneurship Summer Programme
Study at a world-leading university this summer
This new two-week programme, aimed at current undergraduates, recent graduates, and all aspiring entrepreneurs, combines core sessions from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School experts, with hands-on sessions from business practitioners and successful entrepreneurs.
After an introduction to the concept of entrepreneurship, teams of participants will be invited to generate and select simple business ideas. These ideas will be used to underpin the core sessions, illustrating how aspects of business and entrepreneurship covered during the programme can be applied in real life. Teams work towards a pitch given to a panel of entrepreneurs on the final day of the programme.
Topics covered in the core sessions will include:
Prototyping and MVP; Product design; Service provision; Value proposition; Defining the customer; Marketing delivery; Business Model Canvas; Route to market; Revenue streams; Team profiles; What investors want to see; Culture and dynamics; Types of funding; Risk reward return; Simple cash flow; Manufacturing and logistics; Wholesale and retail; Technology; Taxes, boards, policies; Shares and shareholders; Intellectual property
In addition to these sessions, the programme also provides a set of mentoring and coaching sessions where specific issues can be addressed in more detail.
A certificate of attendance will be given to those who attend all of the sessions.
Stay in a Cambridge College
To add to the academic experience you can stay in a historic College, dine in magnificent halls and meet fellow participants studying other subjects. Non-residential places are also available.
There will be a welcome reception on the first day of the programme and a closing dinner in College on the final night.
We also offer a range of social activities throughout the programme. You can also sign up for weekend excursions to London, Canterbury and other local attractions, and book tickets for theatre trips. These activities will give you plenty of opportunities to meet like-minded students and make new connections.
