Business and Entrepreneurship Summer Programme
Business and Entrepreneurship Summer Programme 4-17 August 2019
Study at one of the world’s leading universities this summer
Aimed at current undergraduates, recent graduates, and all aspiring entrepreneurs, this two-week programme combines core sessions delivered by experts from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, with hands-on sessions from business practitioners and successful entrepreneurs.
After an introduction to the concept of entrepreneurship, teams of participants will be invited to generate and select simple business ideas. These ideas will be used to underpin the core sessions, illustrating how aspects of business and entrepreneurship covered during the programme can be applied in real life.
Sessions will include:
Product design; Prototyping and MVP; Service provision; Marketing delivery; Value proposition; Defining the customer; Route to market; Business Model Canvas; Revenue streams; Team profiles; What investors want to see; Culture and dynamics; Types of funding; Risk reward return; Simple cash flow; Manufacturing and logistics; Wholesale and retail; Technology; Taxes, boards, policies; Shares and shareholders; Intellectual property
Mentoring and coaching
In addition to the core sessions, the programme also provides a set of mentoring and coaching sessions where specific issues can be addressed in more detail.
Live in a Cambridge College
To add to the academic experience you can stay in a historic College and dine in magnificent halls. Non-residential places are also available. The programme opens with a welcome reception and closes with a formal College dinner.
Alongside an excellent programme of concerts, we also offer general-interest evening talks. If you’re interested in learning more about British culture, you can book theatre trips and sign up for walking tours and weekend excursions. These activities provide the perfect opportunity to meet fellow students and make new connections.
Who can apply?
The programme is aimed at current undergraduates, recent graduates, and all aspiring entrepreneurs. A basic understanding of business is required and participants will also need to meet our language requirements.
How to apply
