This three-day intensive course (24-26 June 2020) on impact evaluation methodologies is designed for professionals, doctoral, masters and advanced undergraduate students studying economics, social sciences, education, international development, political science, public health as well as anyone interested in methods used in evidence-based policy making.
The summer school will take place right after the conference "Counterfactual Methods for Policy Impact Evaluation (COMPIE)" in Mannheim, hosted by the European Commission, University of Mannheim/ C4ED, from 22-24 June 2020.

The summer school is set to cover the prevailing concepts of impact evaluation, quantitative counterfactual based causal inference and the main methodologies and tools.
Professor Alberto Abadie (MIT), Alexandra Avdeenko (C4ED) and Prof. Markus Frölich (University of Mannheim) will be the instructors of the summer school. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and discuss current methodologies in impact evaluation from some of the experts and scholars who have been setting the methodological frontier. The summer school will also be a valuable opportunity for networking.

The summer school fee includes registration, administration costs and coffee breaks. Participants are responsible for transportation and accommodation, lunch and dinner, and other incidental expenses.
