Stability for Prosperity
As the Central Bank of Sri Lanka proudly celebrates its Diamond Jubilee this year, our theme, “Stability for Prosperity”, reflects a direction that would guide our country’s steady progress. Stability lays the foundation for confidence and innovation, which would eventually pave the way for consistent growth and resilience. Continuous research promotes evidence-based policymaking, opens the door to the frontiers of knowledge, and provides valuable insights and takeaways from history to inform and strengthen our way forward. Consequently, facilitating the International Research Conference 2025 signifies our commitment to enhancing our capacity in promoting stability.
 

Researchers are invited to submit original papers covering any of the following areas (but not limited to):

• Monetary policy and its impacts
• Macroeconomic modelling and macroeconomic policies
• Macroeconomic implications of adopting artificial intelligence
• Climate change and its economic impact
• Financial sector issues and policies
• International trade and international finance
• Fiscal policy, public debt dynamics and debt sustainability
• Big data and data science applications related to macroeconomics and the financial sector

Submission of Abstracts and Papers

• Interested researchers should submit an extended abstract (about 1000 words) to the Coordinators of the International Research Conference via email to irc@cbsl.lk (with a copy to directorerd@cbsl.lk).
• If researchers represent any institution, the completed papers should be authenticated by the relevant authority.
• Papers presented at the Conference will be subsequently published as conference proceedings.
