PhD Student in Gender and Economics/Political Science

Associate Professor Sofia Trommlerová is looking for a motivated PhD student to join her at the Institute of Public Policy, Comenius University Bratislava, Slovakia. You would work under her supervision on one of the following topics:

(1) Family Policies and Their Role in Shaping Gender Equality, Fertility, and Child Development 

(2) Understanding the Political Gender Gap: Causes, Consequences, Regional Differences

The ideal candidate should have: 

- Background in economics, political science, sociology or similar fields. 

- Solid analytical skills, ideally also some quantitative background (not a must). 

- Eagerness to learn new things. 

What we offer: 

- A monthly stipend of ~ 1.200€ (net).
