SIU is the official agency for promoting international education in Norway.
The main purpose of the institution is to promote education and research
programs聽in Norway. SIU provides information to international candidates
about聽studying in Norway聽and participates in the internalisation process of
official Norwegian policy. The projects of聽SIU are always international and
they are either funded by one of the programs or schemes which SIU
administers.
SIU is funded by institutions and ministries such as聽The Norwegian Ministry
of Education and Research (KD),聽The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
(UD) and聽The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad).聽
