The University of Calgary (UCalgary) was established in 1966 as a public
research institution located in Alberta, Canada. Currently more than 30,000
Canadian and international students are enrolled in the fourteen faculties
of UCalgary . The university is composed of approximately eighty-five
research centers, and international institutes, and is also a distinguished
member of the Alberta Rural Development Network.
Furthermore, the Faculty of Science, the Schulich School of Engineering,
and the Department of Geosciences has gained prestige locally and national
for ties concerning geoscience and petroleum industries.Â
