The University of Western Australia (UWA) was founded in 1911 as a public
research institution in Crawley, Western Australia. Approximately 23,000
Australian and international students are enrolled in the oldest academic
university in the area. Furthermore, UWA is the only university in the
state that is a member of the prestigious Group of Eight.
