The Department of Sociology and Social Research (DSRS) at the University of
Milano-Bicocca was established in 1999 in Milano, Italy. The main aim
of DSRS is to promote outstanding research and understanding of
contemporary societies, and further develop ideas regarding social theory.Â
The faculty of the DSRS Â has been ranked as a leading faculty for four
years in a row by CENSIS-La Repubblica. The DSRS was ranked as first in the
field of medium-to-large research institutions for the disciplines of
political and social sciences. Furthermore, intensive courses concerning
sociology, communication, management, and social services are offered to
bachelor's, master's, and doctoral students.Â
