The Belgian University of Namur  was established in 1831 by the Society
of Jesus. The University is known for promoting the values of humanistic
traditions throughout research and teaching methods. The main focus of the
university is to educate students, faculty, and international researchers to
become responsible members of the society. 5,000 students are enrolled in the
university's fields of study regarding linguistics, computer science, ethic,
nanotechnologies, and human rights. Furthermore, there are 670 researchers,
75 research unites, 600 projects, and 682 publications currently recorded.Â
