The Health Economics Research Centre (HERC) at the University of Oxford was
founded in 1996. HERC works to contribute to healthcare and the field of
health both in the UK and abroad. HERC focuses on economic research
concerning the evaluation and design of health systems, benefits and cost
efficiency of treatment and prevention, as well as disease and sickness.
Furthermore, HERC offers grants, fellowships, conferences, courses, and
workshops for students, professionals, researchers, and the Department of
Health.Â
