Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) was established in 1989 as an economic forum for 21 Pacific Rim member economies in Singapore. APEC works to promote economic collaboration and free trade within countries of the Asia-Pacific region. Furthermore, APEC hosts annual Economic Leaders' Meetings for ministerial-level officials to discuss issues concerning current economies throughout the growing region.   apec
