European Association for Banking and Financial History (EABH) e.V.

EABH supports research into all aspects of banking, insurance, and financial history, from the earliest innovations in the middle-ages to developments since the industrial revolution up to the present. EABH also maintains a European network of professionals and academics with the ambitious aim of strengthening the understanding of banking and finance in Europe. In doing so EABH tremendously contributes to the effective management of the European financial sector and its international competitiveness. EABH creates a close-knitted network connecting its corporate members with leading archivists as well as renowned historians. Its corporate members include almost all European central banks, other well-established banking houses, leading insurance companies and financial institutions from all over Europe. In uniting these experts and their contributions in EABH conferences and publications, these events and proceeding papers offer the opportunity to learn from the different pasts in order to successfully deal with the various challenges of the present. info@bankinghistory.de
