The German Association for Political Economy (DVPW) was founded in 1951 as an
unincorporated organization in Osnabrueck, Germany. DVPW  is a
professional scientific association for political scientists who are
dedicated to the active teaching, research, and the development of political
science and the economy. DVPW is structured into ten sections concerning
political economy, international policies, developmental theory and policy,
comparative politics, political sociology and theory, and other related
disciplines.Â
