The Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (KIET) was established in
1997 as a private institute in Pakistan. Currently there are approximately
2,500 students enrolled at KIET and four main departments, Management
Sciences, Computer Science, IS & System, Media & Arts and Engineering, have
been intrinsically created. KIET is also affiliated with the Higher Education
Commission of Pakistan and the National Computing Education Accreditation
Council.Â
