The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens was founded in 1837 as a
public academic institution in Athens, Greece. The University of Athens
is the oldest institution for higher learning in the entire country. The
institution is structured into eight schools which include the School of
Education, the School of Health Sciences, the School of Law, and the School
of Economics and Political Sciences . More than 65,700 Greek and
international students are enrolled in the prestigious schools on a full time
basis.
