In 1947 the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) was establish
in Warsaw, Poland as a think thank dedicated to the training and research of
international relations. PISM has been ranked as one of the most influential
institution in Europe, specifically throughout Eastern and Central Europe.
PISM Â has developed particular interests regarding the Ukraine, arms
control, energy, and EU security policy.Â
