The Turin School of Local Regulation is a network initiative promoted by
Fondazione per l'Ambiente offering an international high-level educational
and capacity-building experience on industrial regulation of local public
services, alongside with a policy-oriented research stream. The School adopts
a policy-oriented approach, with the aim of spreading the culture and
instruments of regulation at local level.
The School activities deal with services managed at local level, namely water
services, urban waste, urban public transports, district heating / cooling
and energy markets, infrastructures, management of green areas and sport
facilities, public housing and other municipal services, finance and
accountancy for local services.
The School promotes yearly an International Summer School on regulation of
local public services, as well as short training sessions (sector/topic
focused) within its Executive Education Programme and on-demand training and
capacity building. It animates also a network of experts on local regulation
