The Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) was founded in 1935 as the
first private university in Mexico. The UAG is a coeducational,
nondenominational and nonprofit organization. It is independent, autonomous,
and it is not affiliated with or dependent on any government, church or
political party.
