The University of Leuven (KU Leuven) was established in 1425 as an
independent Free Catholic academic institution in Leuven, Belgium. More than
41,300 students are enrolled in the KU Leuven , which is considered the
oldest institution in Belgium.Â
KU Leuven is structured into three main groups containing faculties,
departments, and schools. The three groups includes disciplines regarding
humanities and social sciences, engineering and technologoy, as well as
biomedical sciences.Â
