University of Lucerne

Although the roots of the University of Lucerne reach back as far as 1600, it has experienced rapid growth and transformation during the last 20 years, since it has become one of Switzerland's twelve main universities and the leading university in central Switzerland. 

Founded in 2000, it consists of the faculties of Theology, Humanities and Social Sciences, Law, and Economics and Management, and has around 3,000 students. It has quickly made a name for itself both in Switzerland and on an international level. Around 550 employees ensure that teaching and research activities are conducted at the highest level.
