Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Macroeconomics (100%)

The University of St.Gallen and its School of Economics and Political Science are inviting applications for an Assistant Professorship (Tenure Track) in the field of macroeconomics.

Candidates with a focus in applied macroeconomics are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates should have (or aim to establish) a promising record of internationally recognized research and show commitment to teaching excellence. Ideal candidates have an emerging track record of internationally recognized research in leading general interest or field journals.

Successful candidates will teach in our Economics or International Affairs programmes. Candidates should have a commitment to academic leadership and citizenship, including contributions to public discourse and outreach activities. Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding is a plus.

The appointment is for 6 years, with an intermediate evaluation after 3 years. Based on the tenure track process, successful candidates can be promoted to a tenured Associate Professor position.
