Job Purpose: We are seeking for three Economic Education specialists to join our team.

We are looking for experienced professionals to contribute to coordinate design, develop and deliver the new postgraduate programme at the NBS. As key members of the Economic Education Department, the successful candidates will play a central role in supporting all departmental activities.

This job advertisement is for 3 positions. Two of the roles will have a greater focus on academic and teaching responsibilities (no Slovak language is required), while the third will focus more on outreach and communication (Slovak proficiency required). We encourage you to apply if your experience aligns with either of these specialisations.

Key Responsibilities:
The team of specialists, together with the Head of Education, will collectively be responsible for:
-    Programme Development and Support: Actively contribute to the planning and execution of advertising and marketing campaigns. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the programme, including managing the application process, coordinating with guest lecturers, and supporting all programme activities.
-    Curriculum Design: Contributing to the development of the program's curriculum, structure, and learning objectives, ensuring its relevance to central banking challenges.
-    Communications: Handling internal and external communications to effectively promote the programme and its visibility within the Bank and outside.
-    Departmental Support: Actively supporting all professional activities of the Economic Education Department.

Specific Role Responsibilities:
-    Two roles will focus on curriculum development and teaching: These individuals will be responsible for delivering foundational economic courses and creating engaging and practical learning activities and assessment methods that evaluate the understanding of theoretical concepts and their real-world application. High proficiency in English is required, but Slovak is not.
-    One role will focus on outreach and partnerships: This individual will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. local universities, other central banks) to create collaborations and ensure the curriculum is relevant to current central banking challenges. High proficiency in both English and Slovak is required for this position.

Qualifications and Experience:
-    Postgraduate studies in economics or a related subject (PhD in Economics desirable).
-    More than 3 years of academic or teaching experience.
-    Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Join us to contribute to an innovative central banking environment and help shape the future of applied economics education and the next generation of economists.

Slovak law requires us to state that the basic pay component of the remuneration will not be lower than 2.255 €/month. Annual income including bonuses can, however, reach 43.000 €.

Final offer will depend on the candidates’ professional experience and knowledge.

Národná banka Slovenska is part of the European System of Central Banks.
