The Board of the Université Saint-Louis Bruxelles declares vacant : a full-time academic position in quantitative methods applied to economics and management for the academic years (unless there is a justified exception) 2022-2023, 2023-2024, 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.

This position is likely to be transformed into a permanent position from the academic year 2026-2027.

 

The candidate will contribute, through his/her research and teaching activities, to the national and international visibility of the university. His/her research will be developed within the CEREC (CEnter for Research in EConomics) or the NODES (Networks Ontology Data Epistemology Subjectivity).

The complementarity of the candidate's research project with the research developed at CEREC or NODES is an important asset.

Qualifications :

The candidate will have a PhD with a thesis in one of the following fields: economics, management, statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics or computer science. He/she conducts research in which he/she develops or uses quantitative methods applied to the fields of economics or management. He/she shall have scientific experience recognised by publications of international standing.

The candidate has, ideally, experience in university teaching. He/she has an excellent command of French and will teach statistics and probability at bachelor level in French. The candidate must also be able to teach in English.

- a letter of motivation
- a complete curriculum vitae
- a presentation of the pedagogical project based on the 3 EUs mentioned above (about 7500 signs) and the scientific project (about 7500 signs)
- two letters of reference from internationally renowned scientists who are not members of the USL-B
- the three most significant publications or working papers
- a copy of the doctoral diploma
- for non-French and/or non-English speakers, a recent certificate (maximum 5 years old) attesting the level of knowledge of French and/or English
