  • Your role will be to support the academic work of your colleagues in the Research Centre in the area of theoretical and quantitative macroeconomics, particularly through maintaining, applying and extending dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) models and by conducting empirical analyses.
  • As a member of an international team, you will be involved in economic research that helps the Bundesbank gain important insights. 
  • You will have access to an excellent IT environment and first-class data resources and will work with leading international researchers.

Unique assets: your skills and qualifications

  • A master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a degree programme with a quantitative focus (e.g. economics or statistics) with above-average results; ideally, enrolled in or pursuing a PhD/doctorate degree programme in economics or statistics 
  • Working towards a specialisation in theoretical and quantitative macroeconomics
  • Good knowledge of MATLAB and Dynare
  • Knowledge of time series econometrics and mathematical/statistical applications (e.g. R, EViews, Stata) would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Very good command of written and spoken English; a grounding in German would be an advantage
