The Institute of Health Economics (IHE) invites applications for the position as a

Post-Doctoral Researcher (m/f/d) in Applied Microeconomics, especially Health Economics (Akademische Rätin oder Akademischer Rat im Beamtenverhältnis auf Zeit, Salary Scale A13 NBesO, 100 %)

starting before September 1, 2019. The position with temporary civil servant status is initially limited to three years, with a possible extension for another three years.

Responsibilities and duties

The successful candidate conducts research and teaching related to applied microeconomics, especially health economics.

Employment conditions

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in economics or a related discipline with outstanding grades. Skills in theoretical and empirical economic methods, in particular treatment analysis, and proficiency in English are required. We expect that the candidate is able to publish research in highly rated academic journals, which is substantiated by a strong „Job Market Paper“. Excellent candidates have a research focus in health economics (or related areas such as labour economics) and analyse relevant problems from an economic perspective. We appreciate experience with third party funding.

Part-time employment is possible.
